ISSUE #9 - May 3, 2019 Hello! Last weekend I stood in a room with 300+ fellow women of color from all backgrounds and industries. It was incredibly inspiring! Also unprecedented for me as I’ve never had this opportunity before. As women of color we were able to bond over the similarities in our life/work experiences and also to learn from what makes us all unique individuals. (Read more in the perspective section!) My hope is that Amplify can provide a network of support and resources that speak to our collective and unique needs. Please invite all the women of color in your life to join Amplify! Happy reading! Women of Color United! Last Saturday, I attended the Future for Us Assembly in Seattle, a gathering of 300+ women of color from all professional industries. Together we listened intently at the wisdom of the amazing panel of speakers and we listened to one another experiences, good and bad. I want to share a few gems from the day with you! “8 /10 businesses started by women are founded by womxn of color. We are in the majority.
